I run a modified Traveller game for some friends far away and it’s been really good. I get to test out stuff that I’ve been holding onto for years. I’m running a hex crawl for them at the moment. It’s a classic module and has some fun bits, but I need to streamline the game loop. More to come.

I ran a Traveller game at ArcaneCon Saturday that was one of the best games I’ve ever run. Like, top 10 of my life, I think. Everyone was so happy and energized when we concluded. I’m going to carry that with me for a while. ArcaneCon was 10/10 this year. 🤘🏻

DCC is a brutal game. Failure is punished severely and risk is difficult to evaluate when everything in a scenario potentially can come alive and kill your character. However, in group of seven in the right mindset it can be hilarious.

One day this guy, “some guy” started drawing dungeons on the Internet, and now he’s a legend and icon. I find Dyson Logos story so inspiring and the product, the volume of high quality dungeons produced, is mind boggling to me. It’s a testament to goal setting and persistence.

Tuesday is my next club game, and this will be my second test of The Sci Fi Game rules. This episode will be a dungeon crawl style game and concerns the recovery of a Flying Dutchman starship. This is going to be great!

Tonight marks the return to what I’m calling The Fantasy Game. After months of research and development I’m putting more “house rules” into play than ever before. I’ve a new combat system, saving throws, character progression ladder, and the framework of a domain management system to try out!
