Starting in the early to mid 1920s and going through 1969 (though peaking between the early 1930s and middle 1950s), dozens of wedding announcements in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, and *nowhere else*, referred to certain women in the wedding party as "puddingsticks." E.g.:
