if you can't state your political beliefs in a way that makes sense to a kid then they don't make sense. mine are simple: nobody should ever have more than they need when there are people who are suffering because they don't have enough. bullying is bad. sharing is good. 🤷‍♀️

i hope we are using today's economic blackout as day 1 of a long-term commitment to shifting how we engage with capitalism. i hope that it inspires us to be more mindful of our spending, to remember that many of our purchases will exist forever, and to reclaim the power of our individual choices.
