EU funding may reach human rights abusers in North Africa, warns leaked document

Europe has been quick to denounce the Taliban’s abuses of women’s rights. Yet, when it comes to offering protection, it continues to block Afghan women from accessing safe routes to asylum.

Reminder: Human smugglers profit from people’s desperation for safety and from the absence of safe migration routes.

Belgian watchdogs warn of a sharp decline in asylum seekers’ rights

THIS 👉 “Recent attacks only highlight the importance of work ensuring access to justice and protecting the rights of people who need it most."

We’ve said it before and will repeat it: 👉 People will keep moving as long as conflict, violence, persecution, and economic instability persist. 👉 Human smuggling thrives because governments deny safe routes, exploiting people’s urgent need to seek asylum.
