Lynx game has been a dream for analytics heads so far, all threes and layups

Another thought re: Julius Randle I wonder what a fully healthy offseason does for his ability to hit the ground running. I feel like people often forget about his shoulder injury that held him out the second half of the season and playoffs with the Knicks.

I like the Randle contract and feel that’s a good price to bank on the late season/playoff success to give them the whole year with that continuity. Obviously OKC is still the team to beat, but I like the bet on internal growth from the young crew plus Ant/Jaden/Naz

Lynx have come storming back here to take the lead without Napheesa Collier. Running in transition and the attention to detail has been huge

Napheesa Collier came up with some discomfort with what looked like a lower back tweak. She subbed out and went to the locker room.

Great defense by the Aces in that first half. Held Phee to 2/7. Lynx regained down the stretch of the 2nd but will need to tighten up if they want to come back in this one

Diamond Miller breaks the Lynx three point drought with that triple and slips a screen for a layup for a quick 5 points. Much needed boost in a game where Minnesota has been stuck in the mud

Yeah Natisha Hiedeman that was NASTY

Alanna Smith. Elite rim protection and stretches the floor on offense. Massively impactful skillset. 2 blocks already in the first.

Tough offensive start for the Lynx, strategic substitution of getting Hiedeman in there. She’ll get them playing with some pace.

Been loving the Hiedeman drives this game. Got a couple of assists down the stretch in the first. Her quick first step gives her a huge advantage downhill and knows her size limitations at the hoop.

OKC greasing the wheels with some offensive rebounding and transition buckets including some lobs on the back side of that zone. Have to use the corners especially when Gordon will have trouble getting vertical.

AG not only being out there but impactful is unbelievable. OKC needs to attack him more on the defensive end.

OKC needs to put Aaron Gordon and Nikola Jokic in more actions here for two very different reasons. Need to tire Jokic out and need to make Gordon move more than he is.

Loving how decisive Julius Randle has been this game. He came out laser focused on erasing last game and performed at a high level. Now just have to close it out.

Some great offense and utilizing of Gobert at the rim has the Wolves rolling. 16 point advantage and a 24-2 run

Not much guarding going on and a slight downtick in offense for Minnesota and the Grizzlies hold a small advantage. Taking care of the ball and the hopeful shooting regression and the Wolves will have a good chance in this one.
