For this game i don't think i'll include classic boss fights. Instead, i'm leaning toward encounters like this one: a single foe that requires learning how to defeat it, while keeping the idea that every enemy still dies in one hit!!!

A new weapon: Splitter A direct hit does a small damage, but every next split increases it like 4->6->10, meaning it is much more effective when not aiming directly at your target. The bots are programmed using the in-game behavior configuration

It is a gamble to upgrade a game engine mid-development. I was lucky that I mostly had to deal with font rendering alignment issues after the upgrade. Overall,

rarely breaks stuff. If you know about the breaking changes, would you upgrade an engine while working on a game?

Making this little maze game prototype with Ebitengine, Go (of course), and resolv. I also am using my 3D library, Tetra3D, to render a 3D coin mesh to a 2D sprite. Looks pretty cool, I think!
