Seeing folks complaining about the new God of War game because the main character is a woman. I'm over here just asking myself "have these people ever heard of Athena?".

The guy who wants to define what is cinema likes to use soulless AI in the movie making process. No surprise there.

Pride month is strangely the same month that I usually add a lot of bigots, homophobes and transphobes to my block lists across all my social media accounts. Probably has something to do with them not being able to keep their mouths shut because this month isn't for them somehow.

Two years ago I made the rather obvious statement that D&D was changing editions. I was called a drama farming fearmonger. Later, it was confirmed to be, in truth, a new edition (gasp!). I hope the Class of 2024 Grognard Graduates are doing well.

Today's #Vaesen game didn't fire off that much. While we did some discussion on character advancement and they debated on what to upgrade on the headquarters we only got a little bit into the new mystery. Ah well that happens from time to time.

Being a fan of late 80s and early 90s game design I have obviously noticed that most modern games don't shoot for realism. And I'm fine with that now. If I can grow as a gamer and accept some new things then so can others.

Discussion of AI policy around @rpg-trader.bsky.social set me to trying to imagine "What do I think a realistic anti-AI policy that's *direct* and manageable to implement would LOOK like?" So here's my imaginary "What I'd do in those shoes, as of today, after watching that debate".

Finally got a copy of the book that the #Vaesen #ttrpg is based on. Signed by the author/artist and came with a signed print. It was the little splurge I did for myself with some of our tax return.

One of the locals going to #DieCon this year is a rep for Catalyst mainly doing #Battletech stuff. He sent me a picture of his newest kit he's got painted up to take to cons. He's been busy. I'm definitely getting into one of his demo games at the con.

Repost and name a #ttrpg that changed the way you game. For me it's Over The Edge. Crazy ass setting and a system that really did fade into the background very well. It showed me how important story and setting were to a level I never understood before.

One of the new hires at my job is in her early twenties. We got on the discussion about the early 'wild west' internet days and how much it had changed. She asked how easy was it to find crazy stuff back then and I said "Let me tell you about rotten dot com". She was a bit shocked.
