I recorded this yesterday. Also, last I heard, it was owned personally by the Weinsteins, so I guess someone bought them around after Dogma was sold off (apparently the current Dogma owner was only interested in rescuing Smith’s movie but got the rest in a package deal).

Something I could never wrap my head around: Jesse being the main character of Full House, not Danny. I mean, we meet Danny first and it’s his family the show centers around.

I kind of preferred “Go Go Mystery Machine” as the title.

If the new Scooby-Doo show counts as an anime, then I think this is only the fourth anime Frank Welker’s worked on; the first three being the three Studio Ghibli dubs he’s done (Totoro, Nausicaa, Porco Rosso).

We watched most of it in a propaganda class I took my senior year of college. The professor skipped some parts, but I logged it on Letterboxd anyway because I doubted I’d seek out the whole thing on my own.

Random thought: MGM handled video for Turner in the 1990s, leading to some of their classics, like The Wizard of Oz, returning home for a few years. As such, they could actually flaunt them in anniversary montages alongside the United Artists films.

Not sure whether I’ll see the Mandalorian movie in theaters, but I do want to try a few of the Burger King menu items.

The 4K disc keeps the “Never Been Kissed” fakeout menu, surprisingly. The Blu-ray opens with the old Fox warning screens but it’s the new transfer.

Matt Braly has revealed that his scrapped Sony Pictures Animation has been saved by a Thai studio called Monk Studios who helped do some work on both Wish Dragon and Ne Zha 2 and will be named Afterworld. Man, I have not been this hyped to see a revival since Nimona. So happy!

The VHS for this movie features ads for a bunch of merchandise at the beginning. Wonder how much that would’ve helped recoup the investment. Considering the studio already filed for bankruptcy at that point… boxd.it/elhjvH
