We took our first proper forest walk post-hurricaine and everything is so incredibly mushroomy! The cats enjoyed climbing on the fallen pines. It's insane to see just how hard our area was hit by the storm, but we (and our house) are luckily totally fine!

Because of timezones, it dropped early in the morning, and I'd make my coffee, set myself up in a nest on the sofa, and start my day by sobbing over The Gay Pirates. It was before Princess moved in, so I'd rewatch with her later in the day while we chatted on discord. It was a wonderful routine!

If I had more luggage than my carry on, I'd have taken home so many things from this (probably haunted) lovely seaside antique shop/cafe/seabird roost. It was magical.

We had the loveliest day at the aquarium!!! I probably took several hundred pictures and I will not get over how hard I fell in love with that seal. (He's 2, and his name is Turbo, and he is deeply silly!) I've also never seen such a massive and natural habitat in an aquarium. I'm happy and tired!

We made it to Ålesund in Western Norway! Because it's an archipelago, it's only really accessible by a quick plane trip, and it was a shock to go from the torrential rain of Oslo to... this... We are going to have the best day!!!

I'll be here in 24 hours and I can't wait! We will be going café and museum hopping, antiquing, and spending a full day at the aquarium, and it's going to be lovely! 🐋🦭🐙 Princess and I have a habit of going to places within Norway we haven't been yet, and Ålesund looks beautiful!

I just had the most Murphy's Law, fucked up Monday. I don't know how two 15 minute doctors appointments involved me being gone for eleven human hours, but I'm finally home. On top of that, I got a frozen birthday cake for this weekend, and it thawed prematurely, so now I need to eat it tomorrow.
