Everton are still and indeed, very much a work in progress. Snatching late equalisers raised my expectation for this game and I assumed we’d ride out a draw. Lots for Moyes and the team to reflect on. Interesting defensive decisions for next week….

Absolutely tedious football from Everton today. Couple of mega saves from JP in the first half. Silly goal to concede and yet we still managed to nick one at the end - and might have won it still. 9 (nine) unbeaten. Remarkable.

Two points dropped after an excellent start. Possibly made the substitutions a bit late. But the momentum continues. Unbeaten in six. Two awkward away trips to come but things still so much better.

After going to the match and sleeping on it I still optimistic about Moyes and the future. Lots of things that can be improved via decent coaching. Biggest concern was the lack of ideas from about 70 mins. Midfield looked lost in themselves. Also players were too quiet. Need some pace and/or width.

I’m surprised. Not unhappy but just surprised. Glad the club have made a decision so quickly. Forever grateful for what he’s done but he’d run out of ideas. I’m sure the cash will take the sting out of any hurt pride.
