What's your gaming goal for 2026? Mine, firstly, is to play more. 2025 was a dismal gaming year, mainly for personal reasons. I did manage to solo SCS Day of Days over the summer, though all those hours playing only counts as one game played, on my BGG list of games played.

By the way, this might be my personal Platonic ideal of an ASL game. Small map, urban setting, variety of interesting weapons and terrain, no AFVs. SK games miss out on snipers, Heat of Battle, and a few other fun things, but this is the kind of scenario I am most drawn to.

Well, Advanced Squad Leader Starter Kit is sure adding more neat stuff (via SSR). Basic Training Issue One features this scenario S105, Storm Group Sedelnikov, a Stalingrad meat grinder with several terrain features not normally available in SK!
