I definitely remember some Mecha body horror/guro stuff to the effect of Amuro steadily merging with the Gundam, sorry if I'm wrong by the way, but now I'm incorporating IBO

Thinking about the alternate timeline where the White Base decided to salvage one of the extra Gundams, and it gets given to Sayla because she volunteered first and Amuro now has to teach how to pilot the RX-78-1 and Char's whole dynamic gets thrown out of whack because now he's fighting Artesia.

So, watched the first couple episodes of Heavy Metal L-Gaim before bed, and yep, that's a Tomino. I feel like Star Wars is an obvious comparison, and one I make as a compliment. Episode has what would probably qualify for top 10/15 lightsaber fights. It's also got a great variety of machines that
