Had a good writing session today. Went from my scruffy notebook to a more polished manuscript on my laptop and wrote a couple of additional scenes. Hopefully by end of the week I'll have a first draft. Then will start the long process of editing, editing and editing again ... #kidslit #picturebook

Took an hour to watch a webinar about #picturebook writing. Ends up it was 15 minutes of semi useful infos, and 45minutes of hard sales for their coaching packages etc Urggghhh freaking hated that.

14 years ago. One of the last big events I worked for in Monaco. The Monaco Yacht Show : super intense and interesting. Was also super happy to get my Leatherman knife for the event. Still have it. Still struggle to close it.

Husband if off to Shenzhen for a couple of days for work. Sasha is at school. Cats and dogs sleeping. It’s just me, my music and the sound of my mechanical keyboard.

Reading a book about the craft of writing #picturebooks. I have a super good eyesight but damn the font, the size, the color and the spacing between lines is killing me !!! Need to find a PDF version.

So I did a thing. After decades of procrastination, I finally started writing my first #picturebook. Something that was on my mind for years and that makes me incredibly happy. It’s not easy but also feels so natural. Goal is to have a good draft and illustrations by end of the year! #kidslit

Proud of Sasha on her first Spartan race ! Right after she was like “never doing this again”. 30 minutes later “sign me up for all of them. I want more medals!”

Episode 1524 of me making friends with other parents … 1st meeting with teacher. At the end I go see other parents and check if they are in the parents WhatsApp group. A dad looks at me in total panic and disgust “just check with my wife. I’m too busy for that, I have a tight schedule”

Remember that short window of time when the US disappeared from TikTok and suddenly people could see other countries content, had nice interactions, and the whole vibe was super positive and friendly ? Can we do that with the world ?
