How the literal HELL is it only 2 days to World Goth Day? If you're out there organising a WGD event year after year like an unstoppable final boss, we love you. You're inspiring others to get up and do the same. Just look at us all. Getting up and doing goth community stuff. Damn.

This is possibly the most goth thing I've seen on the internet all week.

Just did a quick count. We currently have a grand total of 123 confirmed World Goth Day events. That number will go up as we get closer to the day itself. Thank you to all of the promoters & event organisers who take up the baton for this year after year. The Goth community is a bit amazing, right?

It appears Facebook adjusts the event date to show the date relative to us in the UK. That means we might see an event on the 23rd May, even though it's actually on the 24th in that country. If you're an event organiser and see a wrong date for your event on our website, let us know!

I've added probably another 10 or 15 WGD events to the website since last night - we've gone way past the 100+ count. So if all that talk about us goths being 'harbingers of doom' is anything to go by, then 2026 looks pretty f#cked for us all. But at least the music will be really good again.

We're pleased to announce that the World Goth Day website has now been updated with an unprecented number of announced events already. Well over 90 in-person and online events are now listed, and this is likely to increase as the days go by. Thank you to all the organisers in this worldwide scene!
