Next up on the reading list, THE LONG LEGGED FLY I read a bunch by Sallis: DRIVE; DRIVEN; WORLD'S EDGE; others. Never read this one James Sallis is a favorite, highly original. The guy wrote everything: crime, poetry, sci fi, literary, dystopian, etc. My favorite writers are often versatile.

Read this fantastic French noir, FATALE, 2 yrs ago. Waiting on my next book haul to arrive, so I randomly snatched this up for a reread. Amazing cover art. "It was a genuine revelation, you see," said Aimée to the baron. "They can be killed. The real assholes can be killed." Jean-Patrick Manchette

Curtis is a good dude, & this is a solid novel. A lot of fun. Give it a read.

I've been rereading THE GRAPES OF WRATH for the 1st time in 25 years or so, & even tho it takes place during the depression, the book is super relevant today. Relevant in the broke working class world of today Brilliant is the only word to use for Steinbeck. He sure could put down a line #tomjoad

The book I'm most excited about in 2026 is Willy Vlautin's THE LEFT AND THE LUCKY. Definitely my favorite living author. #books
