My Letterboxd year in review. I can't disagree with any of it I had like 5 Lee Marvin marathons in 2025. I guess my 3 highest rated films of the year too, even if I gave BUGONIA a higher score than WEAPONS, eh. Interesting tho.

I was pleasantly surprised the online Gov't form took me 10 minutes or less to fill out. The kind of surprised that makes me want to sit at the counter in Denny's, sipping coffee with the other old men, letting them know how easy and painless filling out the form was, kind of surprised.

After a Lee Marvin Triple feature, time to switch it up, Burt Lancaster starring in an underrated film based on an Elmore Leonard novel. Trying to rest this painful neck.

Making it a Lee Marvin triple feature, now POINT BLANK. IMO, the best take on Parker. Boorman really does some dazzling stuff in this film. I've seen it a bunch since I was a kid & I always find something new. What never leaves my head, is the sound of Walker's shoes in the hall. Damn chills.

Sure, Ill watch another Lee Marvin movie. I enjoy this take on THE KILLERS more than the Ava Gardner one. Siegel's '64 take has Lee Marvin, Angie Dickinson, John Cassavetes, Clu Gulager Bonus points, in this version, you get to watch Lee Marvin shoot that EPIC shithead; Ronald Regan, in the guts.

I'm elated EMPEROR OF THE NORTH is currently free to watch on YouTube. I love the movie so much, haven't been able to stream it nor rent it for a while. I love most anything with Lee Marvin.

I watched this amazingly hilarious body horror movie KOMBUCHA. It's a satire on office cubical culture, & the yuppies who partake in vile drinks like kombucha bc someone one day thought it cool. In one scene instead of breast milk, a woman squeezes out kombucha. Hilarious!

TOXIC AVENGER reboot was quite good. I had fun. Sure, it's not the classic, but still a heck of a lot of fun if you go into it knowing that it's campy good times You know what I watched before? SMASHING MACHINE. What a letdown, & I enjoy Safdie movies, but this one just bad. "It'll upset my tummy"

I have not and will not make a list for best movies since 2000. I'd leave stuff off by accident driving my OCD mind crazy. If I did have one, this one would be on it, no doubt. It's one of the most visually stunning movies I've ever seen. I'm about to rewatch it for the first time in years.

Some ppl already talking about favorite neo noir Christmas movies Sure, I LOVE 'Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.' Love 'Bad Santa,' but I don't consider it in the same vein. It's more a black comedy movie to me. My fav is this one, based on the excellent Scott Phillips novel. Everyone involved is wonderful

Rewatched a favorite tonight. It never gets old, Barbara Stanwyck is lights out every time I watch it. One of the greatest villains in classic film noir.

Me, Laurel, Brian, and Mary played the Newlywed Game on Brian's podcast last week, it was a lot of fun. Reminiscent of 1970s gameshows. You know, when they drank, smoked, cussed, etc, on air which were the best of all gameshows.
