Replaying vanilla FireRed for the first time in a while. I forgot that confuse ray had 100% accuracy, it's so fucked

I think a revival of the HBO Spawn cartoon would do gangbusters today. "Super heroes, but in dark and fucked up contexts" has been a big theme in a lot of things that have done super well lately and that show was a certified banger, I think it'd do really well.

Got some zero sugar Mr Pibb and ngl its really good. Hadn't had pibb since the T1D diagnosis like 8 years ago, it's nice having it as an option again.

Got a PS3 in the house recently, been watching Wayward play through the Last of Us. It's been a great reminder of just how wildly tastes can vary, because ngl the game seems absolutely miserable to me and I would 100% never play it of my own accord. I wouldn't say it's bad just VERY not for me.

Been dabbling in arbitrary code execution in pokemon FireRed, it's nowhere near as hard to do as I thought it'd be. Wish I could say the same for static encounter RNG manipulation though, I'm struggling pretty hard on that. Currently trying for a shiny aerodactyl and it has NOT been going well.

Man, I really wish there was like a "common phobia" spoiler tag or something for images here. I respect that a lot of folks are afraid of spiders and I make sure to keep that in mind when posting stuff about my pet jumping spider, but marking them as "graphic media" just doesn't feel right.

Welp, got another update today: Crumb just laid ANOTHER clutch of eggs. This is her 4th one since she's been here, she's had zero interaction with other spiders besides her newborns and has been in her own enclosure for roughly a year now. Wild stuff, nature is crazy. CW: Jumping Spider

Jumping spider update: Currently up to 18 spiders in their own housing, looks to be at least 1 more that hasn't left Crumb's web hammock yet. They're doing really well so far though, everyone who's in their own enclosure has a lot of energy and seems to be getting their water/food just fine

I was thinking about the soap shoe Heelys I had as a kid. I know for a fact if I tried to grind on a rail today I'd eat shit and die instantly, but damn was it a fun thing to do when I was like 10

Currently up to 16 housed! I saw the 17th and 18th spiderlings for a brief moment but they weren't quite ready to leave. I'll be giving them their first round of fruit flies tomorrow, fingers crossed they all take to hunting easily

Jumping Spider Update: The spiderlings started leaving their hammock today so I got to work getting them separated out. There's currently 15 housed, not sure how many are left in that hammock but it didn't seem like many. A smaller batch for sure, but these guys look very healthy! [CW: Spider]

You know what's funny? I did genuinely see use cases for the tech, the fact that we have something so advanced SHOULD be kind of exciting. The sad thing is that positive uses of a technological advancement never happened, it all immediately went to scams, theft and making things shittier.

I'm planning to do a stream for 4/20 like always, the specifics are just not set in stone yet. I do work the day before and a lot of the timing is going to depend on whether or not I end up getting some sleep in after that.

Started a fresh save file solely to get the last achievement, got it at least. I had fun with this game, really liked it even, sad to say I'm probably never touching it again after this. Everyone has a threshold and mine is losing over 120 hours of worth of progress to a network error.

Guess who lost a 100+ hour save file 1 achievement away from 100% at the last possible milestone 1 little network error is all it took btw

I can only think of 2 examples of HUD-free health indication in games and it's just kinda funny how different those 2 examples are

Is it bad that I don't hate the idea of the 3DO's daisy chain controllers? If you've got a console off to one side of your TV I think it'd make couch co-op a little easier, makes an extension cable less necessary.
