It is with sadness that I learned the news of the passing on Thursday of Michael Denton, who was the Administrator of Christ Church Cathedral when I first arrived in Dublin. He was a true gentleman and a dedicated servant of the church. My condolences to his wife Margaret and the rest of his family.

❗The cathedral will be closed from 5-7 January inclusive to give all the team a well-deserved break after a busy December filled with services, concerts and events. There will be no services in person or live-streamed during this time. We'll re-open for worship & visiting Thurs 8 Jan at 09:30 😊

It takes around 6 hours for St Ann's Church to warm up after the heating goes on, so for an 11.00am service it needs to go on at 5.00am. Unfortunately this morning the heating didn't come on until we opened the church at 10.00am, so it was very cold in church.
