Pretty funny email error in today's newsletter from NPR. As an email marketer, I've made the occasional gaffe myself, so I sympathize with whomever is getting an earful about this on a Teams call right now.

Consumer Protections for the win! Many people have already compared this to the landmark tobacco rulings but in many ways the potential harm from social media platform is even greater. I hope this is just the first in billions these companies have to pay out, forcing their products to be safer.

This looks very well executed, and I'm sure I'll enjoy watching it, but I don't love the tone. This is clearly going to be for mature audiences, and I would've preferred a Green Lantern for all audiences, or at least PG-13. That said, both Jordan and Stewart are perfectly cast.

A fun film school extra credit assignment would be to re-edit all of Sean Penn’s scenes as Lockjaw in OBBA into a Gregory Bovino biopic without having him film any additional scenes.

I'm convinced AI is our generation's radium - a discovery with genuinely useful applications in specific, controlled circumstances that we stupidly put in everything from kid's toys to toothpaste until we realised the harm far too late where future generations will ask if we were out of our minds.

Kept with our family tradition of spending Super Bowl Sunday out and about while everyone was at home watching. Had a great brunch at a local diner and saw a movie with maybe 2 other people in the theater.

Bringing this into the real world seems like such a big misstep. They made the same mistake in the 80s movie. I get why a studio would be nervous in the 80s to make the whole thing in Eternia, but in a post LOTR, GOT, MCU, DnD, BBQ world audiences can handle a fantasy world on its own.
