Hehe, so I haven't been able to do much crafting at all because my thumb on my dominant hand had been hurting a LOT. I'm now attempting to crochet again...I know I have the tapestry to weave in but hush, I need to start a new project to satisfy the brain goblin scraping the walls of its enclosure

Asked my mom if she'd like some ornaments for the tree; so I'm making some flat, circular ornaments with felt a back and ribbon loops.

I've put myself in crochet jail, as in I'm making myself not crochet until I weave in the ends of my tapestry so far. So many ends that I wish would weave themselves 😮‍💨

I wanted to share how I figure out my proportions on amigurumis! I'll take a pic of what I'm working on. Then I pop it into IbisPaint X and draw on the features I need. I can also duplicate pieces I need more than one of as well. Tl;dr I edit my photos in an art app. Unedited vs edited

Alrighty y'all! Tapestry update time! I've pretty much gotten back to where I was previously and honestly? I don't think it looks that bad. This is 94 rows in and soon I'm probably not going to be able to photograph it properly lmao. LOOK AT THOSE FANGS THOUGH!! Probably my favorite part!

Writing a pattern with the intention of other people reading and using it has made me realize just how bad a communicating I am 😅 It *just* crossed my mind that I should specify where to place the sewn on parts.

So I'm working on an amigurumi pattern to hopefully release and decided to try YU/YO because I typically do YO/YO and I can see why people like this method. It looks really neat, reminds me of cross stitch a bit.

Okay chat, so that original grey is super warm toned. Here's 2 things I know: it was a Hobby Lobby yarn, & I got rid of the tag when I first caked it up. I'm probably going to stick to the new one (light grey) because it's less jarring but MAN. 2nd pic is my typical lightning.

So, I'm stocking up on more grey and guess what? That other grey is a different grey! What happened is when I sent my mom to get me more, I didn't have a label so I made her a swatch. She grabbed the wrong grey. I wasn't crazy, the undertones were all wrong! Time to frog the last ≈10

Okay, so definitely fell victim to the dye lot curse so this hannya mask is just going to be extra crispy from here on out. I'm allowing it as it's my first time making a project this big. That's my excuse. Hopefully I will not be needing more grey.

I'm still slowly weaving in the ends of my project 😭 It's like a punishment at this point lmao. Like, I told myself I can't continue crocheting (the fun part) until I weave in my ends. I've done a good amount so far so that's at least something.
