I suspect that fact that the vast majority of LLM users don’t seem to have received this (really very simple!) message is because the AI companies have a vested interest in us not understanding it. “ChatGPT is smart, it just makes mistakes sometimes” is much more marketable than the truth.

I literally have no content in my dissertation document yet. Title page, chapter titles and such only. It’s already 19 pages 🤣

The thing that Target seems to not get is they promised to be an ally. They said they were there to support black people and businesses, they would support LGBTQIA+ communities. Yet the second the political climate turned they dropped us. Nothing hurts like a broken promise.

The new #AstroSci feed has been a while in the making, and I am SO excited for it! ☄️ The main Astronomy feed is great to get a 'firehose' of space content, but it's too much if you're a professional astronomer who just wants to keep up with colleagues. AstroSci is a new feed just for science!

Seems like you always have to fight like hell to keep a good thing. The astronomers, faculty, and students of the University of Louisville want to save our planetarium, and so does our community and our schools.

There’s a few thoughts that occasionally just pop into my mind and wow me. Today it’s wondering how many extra terrestrial species have our sun in their catalogs and if there are any excitedly studying our planet and atmosphere.

There’s been a lot of growth on BlueSky today! Good time to remind people that accessibility matters. Don’t forget alt text to make your pictures more accessible to others, and help BlueSky more inclusive overall.

Well since BlueSky has blown up recently and re-introductions seem to be happening, I’ll join in! I’m a PhD student at the University of Louisville studying the gas supply of galaxies and doing spectral energy distribution modeling. Will talk nonstop about Astro and roller coaster.
