Taking a long step towards him she smacked her lips, now irresistibly staring at it too. "Funny, if anything, I was expecting you to be one to /conduct/ the experimentation.... ...How did it get here?"

"I am calibrating with my brain, not my pelvis, Sunshine..." The tone in her voice was more amused than truly annoyed. "...I'm in my fifth iteration. My age group doesn't have to worry about breaking anything yet." Suddenly though she stopped. /Did Omega already know how regenerations worked?/

She did a gentle, appreciative little bow at him filling her mug, followed by taking a sip. "Perhaps organic/synthetic diplomacy needs to evolve past the stage of beeping first..." She began with a snicker and looked at the writing on her mug. --->

With a crooked smirk Persis watched him for a few seconds, just taking in the odd scenery. "I get the impression that this marbellous guy here will wither and turn to dust before you do."

Despite her almost expecting his outreach sooner or later, suddenly sensing his voice in her mind again startled her enough to drop her salami stick. "Easy sunshine! ...I'm in the middle of some calibrations!" She exclaimed, leaning over her console, looking busy. Yes, she missed him. /A smidge./

Persis tilted her head, carefully studying their... Interaction for a few more seconds before she came forward and raised her 'I ❤️❤️ LIMBO' labelled mug. "...Am I witnessing a first diplomatic outreach between man and machine intelligence here?"

Persis gave the Dalek a sarcastic chuckle. "Well, I have taken many a knock to my craniums throughout my career, and that is exactly why I am here. We're both versed enough, no sense in denying it..." She playfully patted the Dalek's dome, then presented a nebulous glowing little trinket...

The fact that she has not sensed @omegasolarengineer.bsky.social invade her dreams has Persis /almost/ disappointed. She wonders whether there is a way to summon him. For science.

She knocks at @dalekclementine.bsky.social's dome- "...Anyone home? No seriously, I could use some expert advice here..."

Upon noticing, Persis gave him a confused squint. "Are you two having a significant moment here? I can... Uh... Get my coffee elsewhere if you two wanna be alone..."

Persis tilted her head and listened to Willow asserting dominance over her food for a moment. "Oh... Dear... Are you eating... Enough lately?" No one was supposed to enjoy fast food /that much/, correct? Perhaps she should take Willow out to a proper restaurant...

"I am NOT going to touch any human waste product adjacent equipment... ...I have some scanning equipment inside though. If you'd be so kind and watch that plunger for a moment, I will be back in a minute." 'Or at least I'll try...' She mentally added, bracing for the worst already...

Persis snickered at his comeback. Actually, he was surprisingly delightful to connect with, even though she of course would never admit that. "These numbers are fractured simulations of a crystalline prediction engine. Primitive, but insightful if you know what to look for... They rum parallel..."

Although filled with a certain sense of horror at her own rather precise visualisation of the other's words, Persis' face stayed static and blank; she herself slowly nodding in acknowledgement. "A Time Ring. It's been a while... ...Good to see some of us made it out no matter what..."

Persis hesitated for a moment, worrying that her decision to stay might make it... Uncomfortable... Between the two... With a silent inhale she however eventually nodded. At least that she owed her. That and more... "Tell me... ...Did you catch some fresh spicy gossip, my sib?"

As she heard her name being called Persis froze for a second, with her first thought being that she might have woken up her peer. Slowly turning around she gave the other a gentle hailing nod. "...Hello again!" She began calmly, holding the bag somewhat closer to the other in an offering manner.

She hesitantly nodded. He did not appear particularly /fine/ but she also did not want to poke and prod without invitation. "...I don't think I have seen your face before..." She absent-mindedly muttered.

Persis tilted her head at the other with what almost seemed like satisfaction on her face. "Fair. Always loved the engineering bits actually! It is just, that I normally do not run into any other Time Lords anymore..."

"I will /not/ argue out loud with a disembodied voice in my head! I have work to do and I already strained most people's perception of my sanity!" She silently sighed with a tiny smirk of amusement showing on her face. "...How about you make yourself useful for a change and run some numbers?" --->

|| So I started doing a thing. 💜💙 Considering I write this character for 10+ years, there's many more characters who ended up as part of Persis' 'character history', but those all date back to platforms like dA or LJ (which are mostly dead these days, so Bsky is what we roll with now. xD)

Wit a squint Persis tilted her head. Quite the volatile response, but truth be told, she did not entirely hate it. "So I suppose you are not a fan of junk foods?"

With her eyes awkwardly widening she raised her hands, visibly trying to /not/ speak out what was on her mind, but assume a much more tame interpretation of her words instead. "What in sanity's name?! I know meat is meat, but COME ON... There's plenty of acceptable quality junk food out there..."

"...Are you alright?"

Every now and then Persis wonders whether @restlessanchor.bsky.social remembers her, but most of the time she is positively optimistic she doesn't... She does however leave the occasional consolation takeout near her TARDIS. Just in case...

Persis raised one eyebrow at the other's response. "Well then - I'm all ears for some juicy gallifreyan gossip! Friends? Enemies? Frienemies?..."

Sensing his presence - and worse - amusement in her mind made Persis loudly groan in overexaggerated annoyance.. "Really now?! /This/ is your idea of entertainment, you impertinent immaterial imbecile?!"
