He's an utter prat. An evil sadistic ass hiding behind his cuteness who gets away with his actions with no reprecussions. He's heavily marketed solely because he's cute, but the bird is an evil bastard in every short he's in, and that side of him is rarely represented in merch.

Petunia Pig should be in the prominent position in the Looney Tunes hierarchy that Lola Bunny is in. The Looney Tunes Cartoons version of Petunia (played wonderfully by Lara Jill Miller) and the Day The Earth Blew Up version (played fantastically by Candi Milo) both proved that point solidly.

Bugs Bunny is reactionary and works best in such a role. He does have a short temper like Yosemite Sam, but it's a controlled one, which works best for him. Presenting him as a passive infallible character feels odd. Sure, coolness works in many cases, but at least have him do something with it.

I don't like it when directors and writers present him as infallible like in Show Biz Bugs. Bugs barely did anything in that one, and yet, the audience adored him. That line Daffy had in Back in Action sticks that frustration: "All you have to do is munch on a carrot and people love you.”
