Dalston Lane will be getting closed for 6 weeks (around Hackney Downs station) from 20 July. The significant cycling infrastructure to be delivered will be a parallel crossing sandwiched between 2 new modal filters.

Update: There will be resurfacing in the coming weeks, but the full surfacing on Water Ln is waiting until Sept because Cadent Gas will be replacing the gas main over the summer 🤪 it doesn’t make sense to resurface only for it to be dug up again. Hopefully things will be done & signed off soon.

Current status with the revised Montfichet Rd cycle tracks at the Pool St junction.

The section of Western Gateway between City Hall the the 🚲 shuttle bus stop has now moved over to its permanent alignment. This makes room for the planned two-way cycle track from Silvertown Way (red line on map). Might be a while before construction begins for this though. @newhamcyclists.uk

The two-way cycle track on Olympic Park Ave + the cycle crossing on Westfield Ave are fully open now. There's even a signallised crossing at the entry road to the construction site (pic 4).🚦are likely to be widely ignored if no construction vehicles. Of late this crossing had needed to be manned👷
