Another game of football that proves football is so much better without VAR.

My timeline is full of criticism of Barry ( who did okay when he came on but terrible penalty obvs) and yet nothing on Beto. Honestly the fella offers nothing and yet seems immune from criticism (btw his penalty was woeful as well). I honestly don't get it.

Feel a bit sorry for Garner, was the only EFC player who played with a bit of urgency and tried to do stuff. We got very lucky with a penalty that wasn't. I still don't know what people see in Beto. He is utter garbage.

The fringe players a lot more and see if they are good enough and look to rebuild big time in the summer after offloading some of the dead wood.

I was more annoyed when we equalised tbh. I've never known a team so bad at penalties as Everton. It kind of sums us up. When it matters we always bottle it.

Not sure how long the Keane red card took but for the first while it was not clear what the delay was, then it was because of a red card and even when the ref was sent to the side, it was still unclear in the stadium who was being checked. VAR eh.

I think for all the obvious weaknesses in this team (full backs) the midfield is still a big problem. Garner is okay but the fact he's our best midfielder by a distance kind of tells you more about the others. Simply put they are not good enough week in week out especially with the ball.

Another night game (league) and still no win at home for us this season. At least we play Sunderland in the afternoon so gives us half a chance!

Btw I reckon that absolutely nails the fact we don't sign anyone in January. No point. Defeat to Sunderland and the season is done.

How on earth did Dwight McNeill stay on that pitch for 90 mins. Keane and Grealish utterly stupid for their reds but Moyes must have seen Wolves were creeping into the game and he let them take control. Lucky to get a point in the end

I think today is a good example of where we are still evolving. Trying to play the ball with some (well not very good footballers) is catching us out and probably explains why our away form is better. A season of ups and downs but some of these downs are pretty deep which is unlike Moyes.

Agree with everything in this 💯. Excellent stuff. Id still argue VAR has been the biggest downgrade in my enjoyment of football. I absolutely hate it, never thought it would be beneficial and it will be the thing that stops me going/watching the match eventually.

Goodison under the lights seemed to be a thing. Hill Dickinson under the lights basically means we won't win
