I hate VAR. If you are analysing everything to the Nth degree as VAR does you can make an argument on every single decision, particularly the pushing/pulling at set pieces. In the game,with all that going on, it's a goal, when you go to VAR to look 4 a foul you can find one (and many more tbh)

N'Diaye is a brilliant dribbler and I suspect will move on in the summer but he definitely needs to learn when to pass.

Our so called big game players have actually been our worst players over the past few games. N'Diaye on Monday and KDH today. That said Europe not lost today, it was those home games over winter. I actually think a dominant CM who can pass the most important signing this summer.

What a first half of football that was. Easy to forget why we all love the game at times when your trudging away from a dismal game on a Monday night. Just a pity that VAR (again) has to intervene.

Our away form has been v good but always due to run out at some point. The reason I never thought we would get Europe was because the home form particular those dropped points around Xmas (Bmouth, Wolves, Brentford, Leeds). 7-8 point from them and results like today wouldn't have mattered.

Aside from the obvious (striker/full backs) I'd say the most important signing we need this summer is a holding midfielder who can pass the ball. Not since G Barry have we had 1. Our midfield works hard (IGG/Garner) and KDH has a bit of class going forward but no one does that role. Essential for me

On the plus side, a draw was no good either so rather West Ham stay up than Spurs.

The most worrying sign is the squad players (as much as we moan about some of the first team) offer nothing when they come on/play (so can only assume Moyes does not trust them). Hard to see a future for some of them next season.

I never thought we would get Europe this season, but the last couple of weeks (even Brentford we were lucky) have shown yet again, when the opportunity arises this club (because it is different players from years ago) does not have a winners instinct. Every important game this season - we have lost.

From relative comfort, I have to say CB next season now a worry. O'Brien aside (assuming he gets moved across),not sure we can rely on Tarkowski (getting on), Keane (a squad player nothing more) and Branthwaite (class but 10 games a season no good). The summer spending list gets bigger by the day.

I heard on podcasts this week that Mykolenko always has a good game against Salah, which is broadly true but Salah almost always scores against us as well. Go figure

I see everyone is blaming the usual players but I'd say aside from 2-3 players we (again) absolutely bottled it. At 1-1 against a 3rd choice keeper and a fairly average Liverpool side we somehow managed to bottle it.
