I had a full circle moment this week watching the WPBL draft and visiting Ann Harnett's grave. Before becoming a Sister of Charity, Ann was the first player signed to the AAGPBL in 1943. She played 5 seasons in the league for Kenosha and Peoria. #AAGPBL #WomeninBaseball #DirtintheSkirt

Jen Pawol is set to become the first woman to umpire a game in MLB when she works games this weekend between the Marlins and Braves. Pawol will work the bases in Saturday’s doubleheader and the plate on Sunday. The 48-year-old from New Jersey worked spring training games in 2024 and this year.
