Strongly agree. This is contributing to the costs & non-compliant construction. Lack of alignment with National Construction Code too - this week we had an old standard called up in NCC, whereas we had referred to current AS1428, so had to change design. Wasteful, inefficient, costly - must fix it!

What a bizarre situation at the City of Melbourne. Nick Reece comes up with an election plan to sell the Regent Theatre. 4 of Reeces team get elected on the platform. But now only 3 would support the plan? Good thing the whole plan is unviable anyway as the State Gov has veto.

I am currently looking at the regulatory requirements of furniture selection. It is a hot mess. So many different overlapping areas, different standards organizations and loose furniture is not part of the building code. Once again looking at our industry saying: ‘who designed this system!’
