Having so many thoughts about Maxim tonight. Like the music and composers I connect with him. I think, when he’s allowed to play whatever he wants and can just sit at the piano and let go, he plays Chopin. It’s what he grew up learning, and Nocturne Op9 No2 feels like an old, familiar friend to him.

You know, between getting the song with the Valentino ballad and the fact that I’ve been feeling pretty hopeful abt the future lately, this feels fitting!

Was told that the way I do things is “dad-coded” today. Apparently people don’t just listen to albums from front to back anymore??? Like, I love a good playlist but I’ve gotten both confusion, amusement and shock from people the last few weeks when I’ve said I rarely pop open a playlist these days.
