Since we live in a culture that largely shames sexuality, we're not as open about discussing it, and that generates an environment of secrecy that predators exploit in order to get away with abuse.

Back when I was a teenager on tumblr, there was a guy who tried grooming me via our shared interest in wildlife biology. Does that mean wildlife biology is predatory and abusive, or does it mean that predators will find/invent/use commonalities to appeal to the people they're targeting?

We're living in a time in history when rampant and systematic child abuse at the hands of capitalists is out in the open. Their connections with schools, pageants and orphanages is confirmed. Their crimes, which are but one link in a centuries long chain of abuses, are certainly ongoing today.

All the payment processor stuff is legit concerning, as is this current cultural shift that's trying to shovel any depiction of queerness into legislation about obscenity. I see where this is going

The thing about "this type of porn can be used to groom" is that any kind of adult material can be used in that way, and so can a lot of benign hobbies and interests that are kid friendly. The problem is the adults doing the grooming and a culture that very much makes it easy for adults to do this

Being uncomfortable is not the same as being harmed.
