Uecker is dead. No tribute can do him justice. He lived a long life, and was himself to the end. He went like I think he wished to go; quietly, without distraction to the team. But I want to offer some thoughts in what is a very upsetting time for many people.

Started this year with two running goals. The first was to run the year in miles (2024). Eclipsed that mark this week. The second we’ll try to take care of in two weeks out in Sacramento. For now, beer and pizza to celebrate the end of another training cycle, and a two week taper into race day.
