In writing, we have started our focus of non-fiction. During our poetry unit, the children wanted to learn more about a famous poet. To bridge this interest into non-fiction writing, we created infographics about Robert Burns. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Last week we explored earthquakes and their impact on communities and infrastructure. The children worked in groups to design and build structures to withstand an “earthquake.” 🌍

As part of our maths work on time, we’ve been practising how to read and interpret timetables. We even created our own timetables to show our understanding. ⏰

As part of our money work in numeracy, we learned about budgeting. We checked prices from different supermarkets to help plan a party without going over our budget. 📱
