During the last atmospheric river event, I made a quilt to guide my thinking about water, its boundaries, its power. Tonight, as I hear about states of emergency and evacuation alerts in the Pacific Northwest, I unfolded the quilt to look the sinuous red lines, the embedded salmon.

Just listened to this wonderful interview, bill bissett (national treasure), and am reminded that I met my husband John Pass at a reading organized by Warren Tallman to support bill after attacks in Parliament. Nearly 47 years ago. Yay bill. www.cbc.ca/listen/live-...
