Yeah, I haven't posted anything in too long. I'm alright, just horrible at social media and sometimes time management in general.

Today I've learned what it's like for your jaw to be tired just eating normally. I've known for other reasons, heh, but never actually eating food. Turns out when part of your facial muscles aren't working, the others have to work harder. Who knew? lol

I really don't expect anyone to read that, it's way too long, but it's there nonetheless. It's so extremely rare I can actually put down words from my head to "paper" in that amount.

Alright, so now that I'm home, let's go into this whole thing, it's going to be kinda long & personal, continued in the replies to this post. Writing it up ahead of time to post all at once. Going to post a couple of real pictures as well. Here we go.

Getting discharged shortly, so at least I get to go home to the cats now instead of being stuck in here, lol. Sure being waited on is nice, but it's boring as heck overall. I'll catch up later.

Up way to early (for me, lol) but today's nurse is an alright guy. Apparently had Bell's Palsy in the past himself and only affects his eyebrow now. Actually noticed I was watching Twitch as well and knew what it was, pretty rare around here. No snow outside, just some non-freezing rain.

Well, moved to a different room, still someone else in it, but much less random cursing from a dementia ridden old man. Got the window seat now, but it's boring outside. Guess I'll find something else to do now.

I'm sitting here so hard trying not to laugh at this old fucker's choice of swear words though. Fucknuts is always a good one. I swear he was screaming out "HEYYY PIIIIIG" earlier too or yelling out a similar name. Observation floor is wild.

Nurses 100% don't het paid enough for the shit they go through. The two roommates I've had in here have been mean old cusses with some kind of delirium that punch, kick, bite, and have needed restrained. They actually said they're trying to get me a room of my own for sleep and safety.

I can imagine how much this little hospital stay would cost without Medicaid. Got some sleep last night after being awake 34 hours straight. Not sure what else will be done today, I suppose I'll find out later. Having nearly half of your face paralyzed is wild, for sure.

Even if you're in the hospital, things can always be worse. My "roommate" is pretty non responsive & had to have a feeding tube shoved through their nose. I just have Bell's Palsy and they're giving me (burning, ow) IV antibiotics, antivirals, and steroids to aim at the cause and hopefully help it.

MRI showed a brain, good to know there is still one there. Need to wait for them to talk to me, but nothing wrong with it according to chart, so should definitively rule out stroke. They did find "mild maxillary sinus disease" though the report says. Think around these parts they call it the crud.

Well, I thought from the lab results I read in my chart that they had ruled stroke out completely. They're admitting me overnight. They want to do an MRI in the morning to completely rule out stroke. They said they saw something with the dye that's either artifacting or a small blockage.

The contrast they gave me for the CT scan made me a little bit nauseous but I got this cool horse condom if I needed to barf.

Well, came to the ER earlier as my symptoms seemed worse today to me, I'm having real issues eating and drinking. They've been checking things to rule out stroke, and blood work is coming back fine, so it's most likely Bell's Palsy but we'll find out for sure when they're done I guess.

Been having a weird last couple of days, I feel fine, except part of my face feels weird. Like, slight facial paralysis weird possibly? I can't pucker my lips, part of them and the tip of my tongue is a bit numb, I also can't seem to wink my left eye and I'm pretty sure I could before...

Some people ask what love is. Love is apparently your partner getting you a birthday cake that basically says, "Eat a bag of dicks."

12:03 AM. 45 now. Miss your phone call every year on the dot, mom. Third year without it, not getting any easier. I never took our calls for granted, you were the one person I could tell anything to and I was blessed to have a mom everyone loved. I miss you so much.

Sigh, one day to go.

Ended up sleeping until 5 PM today, now I'm ready to go back to bed, heh. Feel mostly better but any kind of physical exertion is making me pant like crazy with heavy breathing, so clearly haven't gotten everything out of my system.

Well, partner seems to have finally got over all of what was bothering her today except for a little stuffiness. I've got a leaky nose, tickling cough that has happened so much today that my sides and back hurts now, and general bleh that comes back every few hours unless I'm popping ibuprofin.

Partner barely left bed all day, so no Christmas Chinese dinner, and now my throat feels kind of scratchy so I seriously doubt she's just having allergies bother her like she was claiming. Been lethargic the last few days too, so yeah. Wonderful.

Well, played through the first quest of a fan remake of Zelda 2 the past few days, pretty sure I got everything and found most secrets. Found a place that seems to be locked by the Triforce but I'm guessing that's a second quest only area, as getting it ends the game. Might have to do that soon.

Worried a bit my partner is coming down with something and Xmas is just going to be miserable for her. She got back from work today and just felt bad and slept the entire day and says it's just allergies clogging her head, but the way it's messing with her breathing I just don't trust that.

Alright, going to bed, after attempting a few times to go through my feed only for it to for some reason not keep my place 12 hours of posts in and take me back to the new ones up top randomly when hitting the back button, I give up. Need sleep, amongst other things.

Gonna see if I can get some extra sleep tonight while I'm feeling sleepy and not just tired. I think my feet today have been swelling up some while wearing my compression socks, so it can't hurt to take some extra time with them elevated anyway.

My memory's getting kind of fuzzy. I don't remember them looking like this.

Hope there's nothing medical going on with a side effect of "smelling water" because I'm totally sitting here yawning and swearing I just smell the water in the air. Bit extra tired tonight, partner has wanted to do Pokemon GO more this week than usual, so been out of the house more.
