I drew an apple in a blanket and the moderation team slapped a “nudity” tag on it so… either I’m some kind of adult illustration god or the platform shouldn’t be moderating things as vague as consent in a drawings.

people can issue consent. things cannot. drawings & sculptures & fictional characters are things. they are property. they are NOT real people. requiring fictional characters to issue consent is an insult to real people w/real problems how does bsky expect to get consent from something like marble?

I chose two portraits for this. I started painting again during lockdown after 10 years of not drawing because of being trafficked and the severe depression/anhedonia that came after. I'm glad I kept going and was able to find myself again.
