Sure, the Hermetic texts are monist in its philosophy and cosmology. They are *also* polytheist, explicitly encouraging us to worship the many gods, not only because it's good to do so, but also to continue our active co-creation with the world as part of our own mystic work towards the Godhead.

Truth is like Alcohol. Pure Alcohol is a great disinfectant. It can be used to clean wounds, prevent them from festering, giving them a chance to heal. Similarly, “Pure” truth can clean the wounds of conscience and the soul. It is painful, but necessary.

As I think about what it means for the Intelligible triads to be transcendent of the Intelligible-Intellective, I discover the "plurality" of what it means to be "Being itself", and Steven Dillon's arguments in his "Polytheism: A Platonic Approach" become all the more relevant to me.
