Iv come to terms with the idea that I will from now on, write as much of my code in Rust as possible. Excluding Swift from the picture of being a main language will substantially ease up on thing, especially since iv learnt that it can have performance issues in some cases and isn't as safe as Rust.

Iv been spending the last 3 hours learning how to optimize the boot sequence of PC's, from the UEFI firmware to the kernel boot, to the user-space boot. Turns out, Asus' firmware initialization routines are severely delayed when the Armoury Crate prompter is enabled in UEFI.

If you think about it, comparing LibreWolf with Ungoogled Chromium is the most realistic representation of web engines today when it comes to performance. UG-Chromium is pure Chromium without the Google specific stuff and LibreWolf is pure Gecko/Quantum with some privacy features enabled by default.

I transitioned to using the nvidia propietary driver on linux due to wonky HDR support. Well, it turns out its not allowing me to build it will the kernel now so, switching to the linux-cachyos-nvidia-open driver and... I am getting about 20% more performance without HDR issues... 👀

Just spent the last 4 hours debugging my linux kernel, nvidia driver and KDE Plasma... For some reason, KDE kept failing to display its DE but could still host windows. It was just black. Turns out deleting the entire KDE cache and config files fixed it...
