Our daughter has been running around wearing a wolf tail, barking at anyone she meets. This week she discovered her love for both k-pop and ramen. And she currently wants to be a dragon when she grows up. I’d say we can pretty safely predict how she’ll turn out. XD

*goes to ER for a whiplash injury* Upon discharge doctor advises not carrying more than 5lbs of weight for the next week. *proceeds to come home and wash hair (dreadlocks) and walk around the house with 6ish lbs of added weight directly on the top of the head*

We were finally able to have our son evaluated. All this time we thought he was autistic like @rhexsnep.bsky.social Turns out he isn’t. He has both types of ADHD and anxiety… So, me. Whoops. XD

Onward is severely underrated. Why does Disney ignore its best work while overhyping the mediocre stuff?

Started a new hobby… after officially and fully weaning off my adhd meds… my house, my kids, and my husband may suffer now.

He did it! Kept up an impressive (and not at all beginner’s) pace too. And I’m a horrible wife (with horrible navigation skills) so I completely missed him crossing the finish line. I’m far more upset about it than he is. XD Good thing he’s going again next year! :D

Rhex and I are finally getting around to getting stickers ordered. So I’ve been playing around with some design ideas.

When my mom was going through chemo, I found a penny on the ground every single day through her entire year of treatment. After she died, they still showed up. Less often now, but always at exactly the right moments. Hence the name Penny. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It feels like some kind of cosmic prank—pairing overstimulated neurodivergent parents with overstimulated neurodivergent kids.

When you’re just trying to get your workout in, but someone else is hogging the machine…

Everyone in this house is neurodivergent. Three of us are synced up… and then there’s me, vibing on a totally different frequency. XD

Kid-free road trip with Rhex turned into him showing me an entire music genre I didn’t even know existed—but it’s absolutely my vibe. No idea how I’ve gone this long without it. I feel like a complete idiot. XD

I’m starting to think I’m not antisocial—I’m selectively social. If I have to translate my entire internal world into small talk, I’d rather stay quiet. I’m not shy, I’m just preemptively tired.

Not my usual style, but I’ve been playing around with the possibility of a second fursona. Haven’t quite nailed her down yet. Also not sure I can wrap my head around the idea of two fursonas… I’m complicated enough as is. XD

Well, this doodle promptly took over my entire day.

Update #2 of parenting unmedicated: Giving the kids vitamins turned into me breaking out into Down with the Sickness… Now my daughter wants to go to a Disturbed concert and my son’s singing, “No mommy don’t hit me. I’ll be a good boy.” Pretty sure I’m winning at this parenting thing, guys.

I’d love to get my act together and do more than just 2–3 designs. As is standard around here, the ideas are endless, but the follow-through is lacking.

In response to my earlier post about not knowing how to parent a neurodivergent kid: Apparently, the secret is to go unmedicated yourself. Day two without my meds, and I’ve spent the morning blasting Less Than Jake, rolling around on the floor, dancing like a maniac, and dog piling with the kids.

I think one of the bigger appeals to this specific platform (and group of people in general) for me is the fact that y’all actually know how to use the proper your/you’re/etc.

I rarely post on social media in general. It feels even weirder to post on a seemingly sparse platform where I have less than ten followers… but somehow that only makes it more appealing to me.

My son, mid-Minecraft break: “Hey Mom, I figured out that if you put animals in lava, they will burn and die…” Meanwhile, my 4-year-old is quietly grazing on fruit snacks like a cow. Just another perfectly normal homeschool day.

I’ve been digging for clues to help Rhex ID my late mom’s first car so we can track one down for ourselves. Then I found this today. Jackpot.

Realized today that despite my own neurospice, I might be wildly underqualified to parent a neurodivergent kid… which tracks, given that I was raised by a generation that thought neurodivergence was just a personality flaw with bad manners and/or too much sugar.

This was supposed to be for Valentine’s Day, but I couldn’t get myself to finish it in time (thank you, adhd…) So happy belated V-Day, @rhexsnep.bsky.social

I didn't realize it, but it's already somewhat meaningful for me cuz my dad had the same drivetrain in his '84 GTI back in the day. He passed over a year ago, but he would've gotten such a kick out of the Cabby.
