Cicadas, they are so harmless 😂 Slow, clumsy, apparently defenseless, and die if they fall on their back (which they do, frequently.) I saw this one halfway through its molt and thought it had died--it appeared motionless and I wouldn't be surprised if one got caught on its own skin and expired...

The award for Most Liminal Space on my walk yesterday oddly did not go to one of the big 90's McMansions but instead this humble 70's bungalow with almost no windows and a perfectly conical tree. 😶

Sexual diversity is a positive moral good. Gender diversity is a positive moral good. Knowing more about sex and gender is better, more empowering, and builds better and safer communities than knowing less. Good sex ed includes learning how to be decent human beings in vulnerable situations.
