I know many people will not like this but this is good news. Housing assistance, foreign aid, Head Start, child care, etc. get funded for the year, but DHS only gets 2 weeks. Either they get meaningful reforms for ICE/CBP or FY26 DHS money runs out (but the OBBBA money will still flow).

THIS thread. If Dems do everything perfectly right now, there is still zero chance of abolishing ICE in 2026. ZERO. That is a 2029 goal. For now, do all we can to limit their power. This is one step. If Dems take Congress next fall, we’ll take more. You can’t play a hand you don’t have yet.
