I am very lucky to have had my reviews used in the past for promotional materials, even on movie posters, but I have never seen one in the flesh. So cool!Better believe I took one home for myself. My manager also put one up at work with the wee note you can see in the second photo. Very sweet.

Emilia Pérez had me won over at first but the wheels quickly fell off. Much like Driving Miss Daisy going over Do The Right Thing, this being nominated over I Saw The TV Glow feels like another example of the lesser, more digestible film being awarded.

this from soderbergh's daily beast int has really annoyed bc it's creating a false equivalency. yes every artist takes inspiration from others, but the idea of feeding films/art into an algorithm to spit out something 'inspired' by them is categorically not the same to me
