Sidcup. 64 year olds remembering when (not long ago) "It used to be all-white round here". Their parents/grandparents are/were racist as fuck. Their vehicles are as much their homes as the houses they live in. Khan "integrated" their area and made them pay for it. Radicalisation?

A spokesman for Young's record company said "Neil's Neil and if Neil wasn't Neil he wouldn't be the Neil we all love and cherish. Besides, we keep Neil on a long leash. He's a good boy (not a good ol' boy LOL)."

Didn't they used to say Bob Monkhouse was the comedian's comedian? But he just told jokes - now it seems you've got to repeat the same few words for half your set to get Rob Beckett's respect.

Remember how you used to do long multiplication? Writing it down on paper, using the basic rules you'd learnt? Kids nowadays have it easy, doing it all in their mind's eye. I wish I was a kid doing this now.

They were 25 and 20 in 1970 FFS and neither old-looking. Like me saying Bobby Moore looked like one of my grandads' mates (not that they actually had any mates). It's like MOTD was full of old gits shuffling around with walking sticks.

When Kid Creole and the Coconuts toured the UK in the early 80s they were asked to play in a charity rugby tournament. Coati Mundi, 5ft 3ins, was told to play in the front row of the scrum but he refused - "Me no prop I! Me play scrum half!"

Watching the Stanley Baxter documentary was a good way to see out the old year and bring forth the 50th Year of Punk. Though could've done without Rory Bremner giving us his "as an impressionist" bollocks as if Stanley's work was remotely in the same dull universe as Bremner's.

Paul Young "quite literally" ruined two bands. He joined Bruce Springsteen under the guise of Street Band and forced him to sing that annoying song about toast. He joined A Tribe Called Quest under the guise of Q-Tips and forced them to play rip off blue eyed soul. (One for the Gen Z-ers)
