yesterday at pickleball I accidentally said “ggs” instead of “good games” and the middle-aged women I was teaming with was incredibly delighted by it it was the first time she had ever heard it abbreviated before, I saw her eyes sparkle lol - “ggs?! I love that!!!”

For all the slop, YouTube (and honestly, yes, even TikTok and the ilk) has gotten to the point where I am constantly seeing people who are straight up some of the best at what they do

there is a popular belief for critique that the onus is on the person receiving critique to just take it, and then filter and process on their own time while I don’t entirely disagree, I personally always try to give critique that is pleasant and considerate of the receiver’s context - imo it helps

I get all the bad ways that the internet has impacted culture and whatnot, but why does no one ever talk about how people are becoming better at doing things than ever before

For most of the past year, I have been using reddit in a *new and revolutionary* way: subscribing to 100-300 completely random subreddits at a time every few months. It is incredible and I recommend it to everyone
