lotta times big companies just abuse work for hire (basically full rights buyout of any work you do) because artists dont think they can push back and basically never do any organized pushing back. But we could! We actually literally could

yeh like. i successfully negotiated with disney to keep the rights for my dis and star wars covers despite their insistence on work for hire arrangements and now i can sell prints and they can't use my shit in marvel snap or an ai or whatever. Copyright is literally just a negotiation tool
