Congratulations to Avi Lewis on your election as NDP leader. As Prime Minister I will always take a collaborative approach to how we build a stronger Canada, and I look forward to speaking about how we can work together to keep delivering for Canadians.

Been sick through most of holidays. But can't complain, I've got family and the cheerful lessons of
@shiffman.lol
to keep me company with the

series. Thank you sir! You're the teacher I always wanted but never had. PS - The jokes crack up my 8-year-old too ๐คฃ

Happy arbitrary date change day. I'll be making some arbitrary resolutions and then arbitrarily forgetting about them in a few days.

Some things you do compound, even if linearly. Some things just happen and thats the end of its impact. Most are the latter; thatโs fine, but the more time you allocate to the former, the greater you become over time.

Product managers should talk to customers all the time. Customer service actually does talk to customers all the time. How do they treat customers? Is this the main way that customers ever talk to you?

Is โcustomer serviceโ a genuine service? Or is it a shield so that most people at your company never have to speak to one of those pesky customers?

@leaflet.pub
Really loving the solid product. But It'd be really great if the editor can remember what language I used in a code block and not fallback to the default of plain text. And, also if there was a shortcut addition to the the '/code' command like '/code<tab>tsx'

The perfect is the enemy of the good. How many times have you heard that? But it's also the enemy of getting done. I wrote more on this topic here:

The perfect is the enemy of the good (and the done)
Dear new developer, When you are facing a problem, it can be very tempting to try to solve it perfectly. Handle all the possible edge cases, make it extensible, have it be configurable without codeโฆ

I am trying to get a good crash course in
#Typescript
. Net Ninja youtube series looks like a good one. Any other recommendations? I have a development background but not very well-versed with JavaScript at the moment, but I can hack in it when I need to.

Last night, I sat down on the couch after dinner, and said to my wife, โLetโs watch a movie, itโs a no-alarm day tomorrowโ. My kid, who was listening, asked: โSo weโre not allowed to be alarmed tomorrow?โ
