One of our child- led learning tasks was “Can you step through a piece of paper?” The pupils had to follow the instructions and measure accurately to complete the task.

RME- We learned some facts about Hinduism and some of the beliefs that Hindus uphold.

Writing - we continued with procedural writing. We wrote about how to make a paper aeroplane then followed the instructions to create them.

P.E. We took part in table tennis this week.

Writing - we have been recapping the features of procedural writing

IDL - we are working on gyro ups to create puppets and props to recreate and film scenes from Wicked. This has showcased a lot of creative skills

Reading - we have been learning how to summarise a text/video clip

Health & Well-being - we have been learning about the negative impact that smoking can have

Maths - we have been finding fractions and percentages of numbers

This term we have continued to learn about spelling rules, phoneme families and spelling strategies

Article 31- We have the right to rest and play. We had some free play at the end of our outdoor lesson today.

We have been learning about percentages and how to find a percentage of a number.

Thematic maths- we explored the link between time, speed and distance.

Art - today we used tone to create pictures with a 3D effect

For today’s outdoor learning task, Primary 6 developed their skills in giving instructions using compass directions. 🧭

P6/5 often enjoy creating quizzes during their personal project time. S definitely has a career as a quiz host 😉

Health and wellbeing- lots of great discussions around the human body and changes that occur. These may be conversations to carry on at home.

Our lunchtime table tennis 🏓 club has been so much fun!

Rotakids - Guess the unicorn. We used a random date generator to pick the winner. The closest was 23rd of March. Well done LG in P4

Health & wellbeing: Linked to Article 2- No discrimination, we discussed scenarios that we deemed fair or unfair. We discussed the meaning of prejudice, discrimination and sexism

Reading - we used our inferencing skills to make deductions about this image. We used these as evidence to answer questions.
