Local win for Southcoast Wind! The Rhode Island Energy Facility Siting Board just unanimously approved the wind farm’s application for a key cable laying. After years of permitting, this is a major milestone for the project. Thank you to everyone who said #yestowind and our clean energy future!

Big news: the #RhodeIsland Energy Facilities Siting Board approved the 1200 MW SouthCoast Wind #offshorewind project. SCW will be the 3rd OSW project to sell (some) power to RI utilities when the contract is finalized. We're still a ways from steel in the water, but this was an important step. /1
