Waters are using AI in very cool way for customer support. I use the support email regularly to ask questions regarding OneLab software and 9 out 10 times the AI agent provides the answer - instantly.

As a nerdy mass spectrometrist, what you would want to do all day is to design proteomics projects, dive into the data, draw conclusions, and solve the puzzle.. Sometimes, the job you are in may not be ideal to continue doing that.. In that case either you could compromise and stay on or leave.. 1/6

Optimizing CE on the #timsTOF Ultra is worth the effort. Here’s a comparison between the default 20-59 vs 24-59 CE. Note the ratio between the 0 and 0-0.5 bars. It represents partially fragmented precursors (the graph was generated with our RawBeans QC tool).

It’s nice to see that over and over (and over and over) again, S-trap is the most reproducible and always at the top in proteomic coverage.

Our first ‘Proteomics Sandox’ training. This is meant to facilitate independent access to mass spec based proteomics (including running samples!).

#timsTOF Ultra: 1200 cells lysed with DDM. 4uL volume in a 384 plate. Injected 0.5uL. Signal is saturated. Diluted 3x. Still very high. 30min gradient. 2 column setup. DIA. 8,100 proteins quantified. We’re in a new era in #proteomics.

I'm processing some DIA data using #DIANN and looking at the data using the Viewer (excellent addition!), many peptides don't look impressive (to say the least). Is it possible to be more stringent in assigning frags to precursors? #proteomics
