I was born and raised in Romania under communism. In '89 Ceausescu did send the military to kill protesters. They killed hundreds in Timisoara. But we didn't stop. By the end it was over 2,000 dead. In 10 days communism was gone and Ceausescu was dead. And no civilians had guns, unlike in the US.
