Look what MrFloof's Great Aunt gifted me! She bought it as a gift for her mum in ~1960s, then inherited it when she passed. Needs a good clean, but I did a quick check and she runs perfectly. The machine is solid metal so we had to unscrew it from the cupboard to get it up the stairs.

Randomly dreamt a couple nights back of the trailer for S3 #goodomens It was basically some super zoomed in screenshots with some lines of dialogue played over them. The only dialogue I remember is "We have come to a decision" said by Aziraphale in his *AZIRAPHALE* voice.

Back in class today after half-term. Tested out using wire and a press to indent the shape of the bone structure, accidentally cut a bit of it off though 🤦 oh well, it's a test piece. This one's a bit larger and I like it better so I think I'm going to do my final piece in copper instead of silver

Copper concept piece nearly done for my silversmithing class, the bat wing needs something but I don't know what yet. I also need to drill a hole in the top of each wing to put a jump ring through from the chain/cord. #goodomens peeps should recognise what this is!

As if spending nearly two hours sawing copper sheet wasn't enough, I got home and decided to trap a dice in chainmail rings.

Started a mock-up of my final piece, the wings will be in silver and the sand timer in copper. Next week I'm tidying it up and getting some texture on it. The second picture is another idea I've had rolling around my head, might make it, might not.

Made two more pendants in class. One is a heart soldered on an oval, and the other is hammered with a high polished mini heart hanging from it. The hearts and oval are cut out with a stamp and I made the jump rings myself!

I started a silversmithing course a couple of weeks back and have finished my first copper training piece. Originally I was going to buff it to a high shine, but then I remembered I had some buffed copper chain in the house that would go perfectly.

The original is the divine conception of Hatshepsut from her temple at Deir el-Bahri. Ahmose (her mother) is top left and Amun as Thutmose I (her father) is top right. Cupping the elbow is a euphemism for sex, and the feeding of the Ankh conception.

Had to draw a Nefertiti fooling fellow with his Caraway Seed and Cowrie shells! Included the reference art. Nefertiti was Great Royal Wife and co-regent during the Amarna period when the art style was vastly different from the standard.

Started on my Good Omens x Ancient Egyptian stuff. In the contendings of Horus and Seth, Seth says "How Beautiful are your Buttocks" to Horus. Couldn't resist Good Omensing it 🤣 In other news, that's how you write "Nice Arse" in Middle Egyptian.
