This was a wonderful collaboration 🤩 We developed a method that optimizes both an irregular tetrahedral grid and SDF for mesh optimization with marching tets. It recovers really detailed meshes with a fraction of the memory!

Has anyone else noticed a particular style to ChatGPT comics? I wonder if they sourced or synthesized a very ‘narrow’ dataset — or maybe it’s just confirmation bias on my end. The same for fonts.

You don't want edges on shadows in your beautiful #Blender #SIGGRAPH paper figures. An easy way to get rid of them is to go to the compositing tab, check the box 'Use Nodes' and add a 'Map Range' node on the alpha channel. Then set 'From Min' to a low value👌

The 1st SGP deadline is in 3 weeks!: if you submit, you will be notified of the acceptance decision on March 15th, leaving you with almost one month to resubmit your revised work to our 2nd deadline of April 11th (if rejected), and with over 3 months to get a visa (if accepted)

I get the impression that most uses of AI images in the wild right now (posters, magazines, blogposts) are better off with good stock photography. An AI image was probably used because it was 'free' or easier to find. That's temporary, but might last long enough to harm artists in a lasting way.
