Statistically 2.5/10 opponents in 10min rapid will be cheating and undetected. If you win streaks, presumably your chance of facing a cheater increases. In 2000> if the username isnt known, its most likely not a dark horse prodigy.

Best way to ensure you don't get overweight matches, dont play new accounts. If the name is random numbers and letters. Or they have a win streak. Which should only happen if you also are on a streak. (If above four). Abandonment costs 0 elo but must be done before both players moved once.

It really does suck that 9/10 times if your opponent is cheating you have to play for a draw. It bogs down the entire ladder, whether your 400, or 2200. One of my friends on @chess.com is 400 elo below his average. Sure he makes errors but not 800elo errors. I make 800elo errors. And nevee was 1200.

I think the best lesson is, as your opponents get better your depth of play has to also get better. Scholars mate stops working fast. Naturally other more in depth mating traps will as well. You have to evaluate position, and know when you do and dont have tempo. And position and pieces.

How to win by sacing all your pieces. If you lose 4 pieces but your initial strategy is checkmate. You sacrificed 4 pieces. Won all the material back too. With one forced queen capture.

Im saving more games than im winning making 500 very annoying in berlin/Italian games.Midgames certainly more complicated as well. It appears those opening just cant win. And the game is played 2-3 moves ahead.(700-900 is 6-10) This change to the draw rule explains why these lower elos are so tough
